Tom Yankello of the World Class Boxing Gym is back to teach you how to hit the speed bag faster by teaching you an advanced speed bag technique that the speed bag counts is based on a 1-2 count. This is a great drill to increase your eye-hand coordination. You start by hitting the bag normally every 3 times. So you punch through the speed bag and watch it hit back, front, back and then you punch it again. Once you have the bag in motion you then can begin this drill. This drill is based on a 1-2 count. Tom Yankello illustrates where to hit the speed bag. You first punch the speed bag and watch the bag hit the back of the platform and then bounce back to the front of the platform. Instead of letting the bag bounce back again to the back of the platform so that you can punch through the bag again, you bring your fist to the back of the platform and punch towards you. So to clarify, you punch the speed bag from the front to the back, the bag bounces off the back of the platform, then bounces on the front of the platform, then you punch the speed bag from the back to the front. Then repeat the move. This is a great drill for you to learn how to flow on the speed bag.
